criteria and Application Process
our criteria
- A candidate must have completed a bachelor’s program from an institution which can provide all necessary documentation. Students who do not have bachelor’s degrees may still apply to Akademia, but are subject to approval and/or a probationary period.
- A candidate must be of good character. Students provide their testimony, take part in interviews, and submit recommendations.
- A candidate must be involved in local ministry. This does not necessarily mean a paid or a pastoral position, but it must be integral to the function of the local church.
- Studies at Akademia usually require a weekly time commitment for independent schoolwork. Many students spend an average of 10 hours per week, but that can vary greatly between students.
- Candidates should be able to attend scheduled group meetings. These are lead by an academic proctor and average 1-2 days every 2 months. Gatherings are conducted via the internet or at local locations determined by the school.
- The tuition for Akademia is $165 per month (total $1980 per year). If you have questions or concerns about this, please let us know.
- English proficiency is preferred. All courses and many books will be in English. Local language books will be chosen as textbooks whenever possible. However, students may write their work in another language if that is more helpful.

- Interested students can email Akademia at info@akademia-edu.com. They will then be sent an application via email.
- Applicants will need to complete the application and provide two (2) references.
- After receiving the application, Akademia will interview students and may request more information.
- All documents will be processed through Grace Seminary (located in Winona Lake, IN), and if accepted, students will receive all acceptance documents directly from Grace Seminary (seminary.grace.edu).
